Final Show & Strike Instructions

Hello, all! Congratulations on two wonderful shows so far!

NO STUDENT IS ALLOWED TO TAKE THEIR CANDY GRAM BAG - CANDY GRAM BAGS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP AT THE PARTY IN THE CAFETERIA. 

Schedule and instructions below for tomorrow (Saturday):

12:30p-1p Arrive at school (if families have items for the cast and crew party bring them staight to the cafeteria please!)

1p Mic Check

1:15p Vocal Warm Ups

1:30p House Opens

2p Show

3p-3:30p Receive praises from family and friends

3:30p-4:30p Strike NO CAST OR CREW MEMBERS GO TO THE PARTY UNTIL WE ARE CLEANED UP!!!!! WE GO DOWN TO THE CAFETERIA AS A UNIT!!!!!!

4:30p-5:15p Party in cafeteria for cast and crew! (This party is intended more for the students then families and friends.)

5:15p-5:30p Pick up outside of the cafeteria (which is where school day student pick-up/drop off is)

STRIKE INSTRUCTIONS

THE CLASSROOMS MUST BE CLEARED OF EVERYTHING AND CLEAN!!!!!!!!

ROLES NEEDED TO BE FULFILLED BY ADULTS OR CREW:


One person to set up ladder (located in the custodians closet next to the auditorium doors) to unplug the speakers and help Ben with sound strike


Two-three people to take costumes and props down to the Wilson Room  (anything hung on the racks backstage and be taken down to the Wilson Room, once props start gathering at center stage they can be taken down to the Wilson Room)


Two-three people to receive items in the Wilson Room and to hang costumes up and put props on shelves


Two people striking the set dressing (we do not take apart the set) - see further instructions below

Costumes


Cinderella: Hang up your ball gown, pink dress, and apron on the costume rack, return the black dress to Director Jen, keep the shoes (unless you want to donate them to SRMS)


Fairy Godmother: Hang up your wings, dress, and cape. Return to the wand to the drawers in the storage room.


Queen: Hang up your dress on the costume rack


Stepmother: Hang your costumes on the rack


Stepsisters: Hang your costumes on the rack


Herald: Keep your costume (if you want to donate anything let me know)


Grand Duke: Hang your jacket on the costume rack


Prince: Hang your jacket and sash on the costume rack


Narrators: Hang your jackets on the costume rack


Town Criers: Neatly fold your tunics and put them on top of the piano. Put your horns center stage with the rest of the props


Mice: Return your ears and tails to the box on top of the piano. Take home the rest.


Villagers: If your costume needs to be washed, please take it home and wash it. Return it back to the theater and hang backstage by May 10. If not, please hang your costume on the costume rack.


Jesters: Please return your hats, shirts, and wristlets on the top of the piano backstage. Put the wristlets in the box with the mouse ears. Put your shirts  in a pile on the piano backstage. Put your hats in the bin with sunglasses on it on top of the piano backstage.


Props:

Place all props center stage - if you brought a prop from home, you can take it home or donate it to SRMS

SOUND: Ben will be in charge of sound strike. The ladder to set up under the speakers to unplug them is located in the custodian closet right outside the auditorium doors. Do not take the speakers down - they can stay up!

SPOTLIGHT: The larger of the two spotlights is rented, we need to take that down along with its stand and return to the box that is in the back of the house. if two strong adults are able to help with this let me know!!!


SET

Remove all cobblestone coverings and put in the trash can that will be in the center aisle near the risers
Remove the green ivy and put in a pile on one of the platforms (DO NOT THROW AWAY)
Remove the white sheet from the upstage center wall and throw away
